Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, and refunds are handled for services provided by L.A. DRVNG (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By booking a lesson, purchasing a package, or using our services, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the terms outlined below.
1. General Policy Overview
Driving instruction requires advance scheduling and dedicated instructor time. To ensure fairness and availability for all clients, the following policies apply to all bookings, including single lessons, multi-lesson packages, and DMV test preparation sessions.
2. Cancellations
A. Standard Lessons
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
- Cancellations made 24+ hours in advance: No penalty
- Cancellations made within 24 hours: May be charged in full
B. DMV Test Preparation Sessions
Due to the time-sensitive nature of DMV test preparation, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
- Cancellations made 48+ hours in advance: No penalty
- Cancellations made within 48 hours: May be charged in full
3. Rescheduling
You may reschedule a lesson without penalty if the request is made:
- 24+ hours before a standard lesson
- 48+ hours before a DMV test preparation session
Rescheduling requests made after these windows may be treated as cancellations.
4. No-Show Policy
A “no-show” occurs when:
- The client does not appear at the scheduled time
- The client is more than 15 minutes late
- The client is unprepared (e.g., missing permit, unsafe condition, intoxication)
No-shows are charged at the full lesson rate and are non-refundable.
5. Late Arrival
If you arrive late:
- The lesson may be shortened to end at the scheduled time
- The full lesson fee still applies
If you are more than 15 minutes late, the instructor may consider the session a no-show.
6. Refunds
A. Single Lessons
Refunds for unused lessons may be issued if requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
B. Multi-Lesson Packages
Refunds for unused portions of a package may be issued, minus:
- The full price of any completed lessons
- A processing fee (if applicable)
- Any discounts applied to the package
Completed lessons are non-refundable.
C. Deposits
Deposits are generally non-refundable, unless:
- The Company cancels the lesson
- The instructor is unavailable
- A scheduling error occurs on our end
D. Refund Processing Time
Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, depending on the payment provider.
7. Company-Initiated Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to:
- Instructor illness
- Vehicle maintenance
- Unsafe weather conditions
- Scheduling conflicts
- Emergencies
If we cancel a lesson, you may choose:
- A full refund for that session, or
- A rescheduled appointment at no additional cost
8. Safety-Related Terminations
Lessons may be terminated immediately if the client:
- Appears intoxicated
- Behaves recklessly
- Refuses to follow safety instructions
- Poses a danger to themselves or others
No refunds will be issued for lessons terminated due to unsafe behavior.

10. Policy Updates
We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
