I met Whiny on the day of her very first test — she hadn't taken lessons with me before, but we used the hour before the test to go over what to expect. When the examiner arrived, I stepped out and waited.
When she came back, I could tell she hadn't passed. That's okay. What matters is what comes next.
She booked a lesson with me before her second attempt. That one session made a real difference in her confidence and awareness.
On the day of her second test, the examiner came to the window — and it was the same person. He recognized her. "I tested you last time. Do you want to go with me again or wait for my colleague?"
Before I could say anything, Whiny said: "That's okay. Let's do it."
I waited again, reading their body language when they returned. This time everything was different. They both stepped out of the car — and hugged.
She passed. Congratulations, Whiny — that one was earned in the best possible way.
